Some of the founding members of Blue Öyster Cult (the band responsible for amazing songs like Don’t Fear the Reaper and Burnin’ for You) started out at Clarkson University (then Clarkson College)… my school! They dropped out when they discovered that making music was way more fun than engineering courses. I originally found this out while digging through my university archives for a school project, but you can read a bit about their history at Hot Rails, a site dedicated to everything Blue Öyster Cult.
